Hey guys,
I am looking for any experience with comparison between the road sofa and the Danny Gray long haul XL.?

I have lower back problems and am looking for a comfortable seat for long hauls. I had a Mustang super touring seat. While it felt good on the butt, it killed my lower back, due to no support.. I do not want a backrest on it either.

I have narrowed down to the road sofa or the long haul XL. They both seem to have better lumbar support. Anyone know which one would be better for long haul for rider and passenger?

Why no backrest? That's the best way to get back support and makes any touring seat so much better.

 

I have had them, they bother my back more. Just need a seat with lower back support.

 

Road sofa is gotta be one of the hardest most uncomfortable seats I have ever sat on and rode w. Look good but that's about it
I personally have harley lo pro and le pera silhouette. Both awesome seats

I have lower back problems and I ride a lot. I know you said you don't want a backrest and to each his own. I have a backrest and it makes my back numb on longer rides but keeps the pain at bay.

That said, when I was looking for a seat that had better lumber support without the backrest, I looked at the Saddlemen SDC seat. I know it's not the other seats you mentioned but I have no experience with them. The only, and I mean ONLY reason I went with the Mustang over this one is because I wanted my wife to be comfortable too. But I may still buy one for myself and just swap seats.

This was my Saddleman Road Sofa experience as well, it really bothered my hip and made my leg go numb, on long trips.
