Default Electra Glide Standard and lighted controls

Has anyone with a '21 Electra Glide Standard. had any issues adding lighted controls? I've added them along with an audio bundle, left side switches are innop, right side everything works as should. I've swapped back the stock controls and everything works as it should. Plug back in the HD lighted controls from the bundle and I get nothing. The horn, turn signal, high/flash, and toggle switch for the odometer all don't work with the lighted controls. Once I plug in the stock controls everything works. I've tried calling the vendor of the audio bundle with no luck on speaking to anyone over the phone. I've been playing email tag, which is getting beyond ridiculous.

Just wondering if anyone else has had this issue and was able to resolve it or if they never had this issue at all and it's just a case of a faulty lighted control pack. Thanks

If you bought H-D lighted controls you have a 12 month warranty. with your receipt returning for warranty shouldn't be an issue

I didn't buy them directly from HD, they were bought as a bundled kit, so no receipt.

Default Lighted controls

I have a 21 electra glide standard that I put lighted controls on in order to make the left controls work you have to swap the control wires that plugs into the back of the controls. Its 4 wires the solid red and solid black stay in place but swap the other 2 around. But if you do this it has effects on the gear indicator and cruise control because of the clutch switch being different on a 21 since they went back to the cable clutch. I took the spring out of the clutch switch in order to get the indicator and cruise to work but the bike will still not start in gear. I can walk you through everything if you need detailed help on it and explain the ins and outs

Interesting. I was thinking it might have something to do with changes on the '21 models. I'm all ears as to everything you've done to make it work. You say everything still functions as it should after the changes? I've been pulling my hair out as to why this isn't working.

Thanks, I've decided to not make any changes to the wiring. I'll say something to the dealer when it goes in for service. For now I have the stock EGS left controls on the bike.

Did you ever figure out what the problem was?

Verify this for yourself, but I think, when it comes to the switch packs, there is something different on the '21 & '22's, so be sure you didn't get the lit controls for the '14-'20 models. I remember reading awhile back that until just recently getting lighted controls for a '21/'22 year model was almost impossible because the parts guys weren't thinking about just ordering the ones that came stock on a '21 CVO. If I remember right, it had something to do with the added features that started in 2021 (maybe has to do with RDRS???) that changed things up in the switch packs. I remember reading that the right hand control worked fine, but the left was where the issues were, when people got or tried to use the wrong parts (using the '14-'20 controls on a '21 or '22 bike).

EDIT: just noticed this was a resurrected year old thread...

No, I have not resolved that issue yet. I left the throttle side lighted controls on(they work) and put my factory flht clutch side controls back on. But, I did remove the thumb controls from the lighted set and put them on the factory clutch side controls. HD doesn't even show lighted controls available for '21 touring models but they show available for the '20MY.
