Default Poll: Is this smart riding?

I like to ride and drive fast. But two rules I respect are following distance and sight line. Yesterday I was on I-43. Interstates drive me crazy because people always come up on my ***, so I move into the right lane, than after they pass me they go slower than I was. In my car I will move back and tailgate, giving them the message I want them to speed up, but yesterday I gave up and just stayed in the right lane.
I asked my wife to snap this photo.

This 2up bike was in the left lane going 80-85. I don’t think he has adequate following distance if the car ahead of the car he is following hits a deer. I’ve seen a deer hit at 70 in this area and the deer will fly up in the air and come down hard.

I won’t follow a car close on my bike. I have induced several “Oh &&@)::” moments when I was younger doing that.

What do you think?

2 second rule for distance.

If you get behind me tailgating I will slow down so that if we have to stop in a hurry we probably will be able to and you won't rear end me. But then I wouldn't sit in what are the over-taking lanes.

I use the "if the vehicle is above windshield view....all good.....if in windshield....slow down". I have 15" windshield. I like my distance!

Depends. If his intent is to take the right lane and split the cars, he is in the appropriate position. If he’s cruising there, too close.

seriously a bad decision to ride that close on the highway, too many times have i seen junk on the road and was glad i was far enough back to react let alone if the car in front of you hits something and throws it back on you.

That's absolutely asking for trouble. Following that close anything could happen
