I recently purchased 2018 street glide special and the paint job I think is hot rod red (hard candy custom).


I was hoping to find lower fairings for it, but can't seem to find the color anywhere (no option on ebay for example).
Maybe I have the color name wrong. Any advice? Outside of ordering unpainted parts, other options?
Appreciate the help.

 

There really are no aftermarket options for this color. I know this first-hand. "Hot Rod Red Metal Flake" is the full name under the Hard Candy Custom line.

HD wanted like $1200 for color-matched inner faring for my RGS. I went shopping around to the local paint shops to look into getting mine painted, but nobody wanted to touch it. If you manage to find a source, please let us know. Best of luck.

 

That SGS color was called Hot Rod Red Flake Hard Candy.

EDIT: Looks like strych9 already beat me to it. If you want to drop some coin and have the paint match, H-D can do them. But any good paint man can do them also.

 

This is correct. I own one and still got it wrong.

I looked at that, but based on pictures it doesn't look the same. I messaged them on ebay, asking if they would consider doing this color.

 

The pictures on the internet arn't going to look like the same color, none of them do, unless it's an actual photograph of the item....everyone I know that has purchased Advanblack color matched items has had good luck

If I’m not mistaken I believe Professional Monkey on you tube just did a bike in that color with advanblack parts. He had to have the fairing cap and the wet head lowers painted as they don’t offer those.
