Thanks for all the replies. Looks like I will be installing that puppy when I get home. We're on our 8th straight day of 100+ temps here and it gets mighty hot riding in those temps. But hey, it's August in Alabama and I'm a native.I think I'm sold based on your replies.

I installed one and it stopped my beard from flappin'

Chrome Front Fork Air Baffle

Deflect the cold night wind rushing between the fork tubes of your Touring model. This stylish chrome air baffle replaces the Original Equipment black baffle on '00-earlier models. Includes chrome mounting hardware.

If you are gonna put the baffle on, you may consider chasing the threads with a tap first. The holes on mine were pretty bound up. It took some patience with the tap but I'm sure it saved me a lot of heartache.

If anything, I think the thing directs more air at your motor. Also seems to keep the front of my gas tank a lot cleaner.

Thanks for the info on this part. I have the same problem with my beard and mustache blowing upwards into my nose!

Good piece of gear for your bike and the chrome looks cool. It works!
