My thinking is that the chrome one would bring attention to a particularly busy, unattractive area of the bike. I was thinking about a black one.

If you are gonna put the baffle on, you may consider chasing the threads with a tap first. The holes on mine were pretty bound up. It took some patience with the tap but I'm sure it saved me a lot of heartache.
I have the baffle , and yes chase the threads first as they will be full of paint. And it has been super hot here in AL.
