Default 1989 FLHTC signal module

I'm getting annoyed with my turn signals cancelling whenever they feel like it. The bikes got its original turn signal module. A while back i disconnected a wire from it that i thought might solve the issue but it didnt help.
Now I'm looking at new modules but they're all self cancelling. The badlands one self cancels after 9 seconds.
Are there any modules out there that aren't self cancelling? so i would momentarily press a signal button to start flashing and momentarily again to cancel

I also have a 1989 FLHTC. I had the same problem only mine would cancel sometime and sometime I would have to press the button to stop the turn signal. Sometimes the turn signals would not work at all. Shut down the engine & restart then everything worked again. Very erratic. I pulled the wiring connector from the modular, spayed with contact cleaner, pushed the connector on & off several times to be sure I had good contact. Applied dialectic grease to each contact pin with a Q tip. It has been working fine for 4 years now. Just a thought.

Default Turn signal module

I have the same problem with my FLHTC and was curious if you found a replacement module and if you can tell me where the module is located on the bike. Will be happy to share my results after I've cleaned the connectors or if I had to replace the module. Thanks

its location on a bracket by the the top of the steering neck on the front side.

Part number is 68537-89, But since HD not longer has them, used may be luck of the draw, then maybe aftermarket may be the ticket instead.
