Default Step #2 finished

I got my 2021 Road King a little while ago but was waiting to take my HD Academy class's and get myself a MC license added to my regular license. Passed the course last Friday and went to the DMV today and now have a "M" on it. Need to register it next and I will be riding again after 40 years !

Good for you. There was a time though that no-one bothered to get the endorsement, and the cops back then didn't care. The only reason I got mine back in 1985 was I decided to purchase a new Harley. Someone told me that everyone should buy at least 1 new Harley, so I sold the old one and down I went. I had to finance part of it, and I didn't think they would let me get it without it . Nobody cared from the finance company to the insurance company. The dealership didn't ask for it when I test rode it either.

Congratulations on the bike and the license. I got mine in 85 too. I got popped doing a wheelie past a cop coming out of my high school parking lot. I never saw him...well I did eventually...it took him awhile to catch up and he was pissed. I only had my permit and he had my bike towed after writing me 3 tickets. He was the beat cop in my neighborhood so he knew me...chased me a few times when I had a dirt bike. Caught me one time pushing it. I was only pushing it because I was out of gas. He wouldn't even let me push it to the gas station, made me push it home lol...I really believe he didn't like me. So since he knew me, the bike I figured I better get my license or I was either going to do alot of running or get a lot of tickets. Best part was the judge threw out all 3 tickets...I had gotten my license before the court date, I lied and said I fixed the exhaust and because the cop didn't actually get me with radar he said it wasn't an enforceable ticket. Other than getting stopped for speeding riding around laconia this year I've never even been stopped on a bike...and he felt bad because my daughter needed to use the bathroom so he gave me a warning. Sorry for the long winded response...but Congratulations again.

We had mini bikes when we were kids and would get chased every time they saw us. One time we hid in my friends garage and a couple of minutes went by and the door bell rang, my friends mother told the cop "no mini bikes here" and shut the door. lol I got caught a month later riding with a girl on the back on the side of the road and that state trooper said my mini bike was not road legal and to take it home. Got my '71 super glide along with my draft card when I was 18 and only bothered to get a permit but had my car license. The riding academy taught me safety along with riding techniques so I thought it was worth it. Half of the class failed but this old man passed. It was not a hand out and was actually a bit difficult for me and I had to apply myself but I got it done. I was by far the oldest in the class at 68 years young.

Nice looking Road King for sure. Black and Chrome NEVER goes out of style.
Can't say the same about shop floor grey, or table saw grey.
