Chilowee Leather makes really nice engine guard chaps, they can custom make any style you need (even with hwy pegs)

NiteOwl - if you call in and talk to Cody (I think he is still there) you can do a tracing and send in to them, I had them do my 2015 Heritage with the 1.25 inch round engine guard & Hwy pegs from a tracing & came back perfect.

For those of you running soft lowers....how do they effect handling at speeds above 60MPH? From what I see, you are adding 2 HUGE flat panel sails pushing against the wind.

I dont do much late season riding here (By mid Sept, mornings are already 40 degrees) but Id like to extend my season a bit. I just think they sacrifice handling for comfort. Opinions?

I ran them for cold or wet rides on a 2020 Street Glide last two winters, including a 300 mile ride out to Robbinsville NC early last spring (Deals Gap/Tail of the Dragon) on a 40 degree morning that included some super slab riding to get there. No perceptible change in handling when running HD soft lowers on full sized std engine guards.

I’ve even considered changing the chopped guards on my ‘22 RGSpecial just so I can run them on the bike versus the little chaps for chopped guards.

I have the full size fabric ones from Harley and they do make a big difference when it's cold out.

Super Slab as in freeway? Were you doing sustained speeds in excess of 70 MPH? (I only ask because My old EG was a dream on back roads, but on sustained highways of over 70 MPH it felt like I was driving a moving van across a bridge in a tornado) I hate how cheesy the soft lowers look but if they work that well with no perceivable aerodynamic consequences then Im going to have to reconsider them.

80 mph on the interstate, sustained.

Buy a cheap aftermarket set on amazon and prove it to yourself.
