What brand are your Highway peg mounts ? I have been looking for some that will fit my 21 Road Glide Special , it has the chopped engine guard.

Harley billet peg mounts fit, but the HD site says they won’t. They are wrong because I’m running them.

My thoughts as well.

We already have our early May ride planned, through the Rockies in Alberta, and there is usually still some snow and 40* days.

Might take a look into these for that run!

No perceptible change in handling when running HD soft lowers on full sized std engine guards.

I’ve even considered changing the chopped guards on my ‘22 RGSpecial just so I can run them on the bike versus the little chaps for chopped guards.
This is what I have done. I bought the full sized engine guard for my 2021 RKS, so I could run the HD soft lowers in the spring and fall. Once the weather warm up around early May or so, I swap back to the chopped engine guard for the summer and early fall. When it cools off sometime in later September, it is back to the full sized one with the soft lowers, and it stays on during my bike's winter hibernation. I really do like the looks of the chopped guard better, and the guards are super easy and quick to swap out, and I also like how much of a difference it makes having the soft lowers to help keep my legs and feet warm. So for me, it is worth the twice a year swap out.
