Default Mid frame air deflectors

Considering purchase of HD model 58022-07A midframe air deflector, and/or the faring mounted adjustable air deflector kits.

Wondering if anyone has any strong recommendations on these - pro or con.

Thanks,

Keith (04 Ultra)

the RJs originals are the way to go for the mid frame deflectors instead of that plastic/lexon junk. they look great and are a quality product. RJ is a stand up guy to deal with. A Vet and also a sponsor on this forum.

I'd recommend either Freedom Wings ofKury Dragon Wings for the fairing. I have Kurys and they work great.

Rjs Originals for the heat shields. Great american made product that looks good and functions as intended.

I use the Freedom Wings for directing air onto me when it is hot.

I bought the Mid Frame Air Deflector for my Ultra. They work great and match the inside paint on the front fairing. I like the contrast against the Vivid Black Paint. I will say they are a pain in backside to mount. Get the dealer to mount them unless you are pretty handy. The RJ's might be a whole lot easier to work with. I wrote RJ and asked them if they fit the Ultra 08's, he said they would get back to me but never did.I got tired of the first degree weltson my inner thighs and bought the ones from MoCo. Harley better step up on this one with a retrofit kitbeside the remapp to shut down the rear cylinder when the bike is atidle. IMO, they areright on the edge of product liability issue on this heat problem. I can't imagine riding my HOG in AZ where the temps soar 9 month out of the year. I'd have to put a fan on my **** to prevent spontaneous combustion.

Pete, what's a 08 CUSE? lol just kiddin.
Brewdog, sorry man... I missed gettin back with you.
For anyone that does own an 08 touring model. I do have them. And since HD went to the wider tank. They eliminated the plastic cable trays. Now the deflectors go on with even greater ease as they did before with the 05's on down to the 92's. Also,...Monday I'll have confirmation of my product fitting the 08 Softails as well.
