LOL Just the generic felt polishing pads on a Dremel to get the tight spots and really deep corrosion. Then some harbor freight cotton buffing wheels on a drill. I’m using 3M Perfect-it rubbing compound. Once I’m done with the compound, I’ll be cleaning the wheel and then going over the aluminum with Rolite metal polish.

I know you’re kidding but that corrosion is way too deep in those spots for simple buffing and polishing. I’ll have to wet sand it to get that out.

No real winter here in TX. I’m missing some prime 65-70°F riding days!

Also after. You can see how deep the pitting is (was)...
Brandon, are you doing a combo of sanding and polishing compound?

No. only as described above with the polishing pads.

If I feel like getting the little specks of corrosion, I’ll hit it with 2000 wet sand

Got it, I think I have some of those in the mega Dremel attachment kit I got for Christmas a few years ago, and I have plenty of Perfect-it

Thanks!

I still feel liked we've been ROBBed.

To keep it on point, I got Chemical Brothers detailing spray for Christmas. It works well. I had another I liked more. I will post it when I can remember what it was called.

I wasn’t liking the tethers that came with my speaker lids, so I made a new pair out of the same vinyl used on the seat.
Slightly longer to allow the lids to open more like the factory setup.
Not bad for a DIY without sewing them.
To make them a bit more appealing I might have some blue stitching added.
