It looks like you may be in Texas. I know several rodeo competitors over there. Reach put to me in DM and let me know the area. Maybe I can connect you with someone who uses the police bikes/seats and they may know of resources. Most of us doing the rodeo circuits have boxes of parts or knows someone who does. I have two extra police seats and some of the hardware but I believe they are for 2000+ model years.

On your bike, do you have the air tank with a gauge and hose?. It would be under the rack on the back. I have a 2006 Police Road King with the Police seat. There is a air shock that mounts to the seat to give it the air ride. If you don't have anything but the seat, you can do the standard search on CL or E-bay. I've seen complete setups for sale on there, where people swap all the Police stuff out for a standard seat. they aren't always posted, but keep looking . They pop up every now and then. But like was mentioned earlier, if you can ride a bike with the air ride seat, give it a go. You might not care for it, thus making the search pointless.,,

The more I research the more I think you are correct.

Hopefully the contact I shared via email to you will be able to connect you with some resources.

There are also two active police bike groups on Facebook:
“Police Road King Ownwers”
“Retired Police Bikes Group”

Someone there may have suggestions.

On the units that I bought, I found different mounting brackets for the front of the seats but the rear shock mounts were consistent. As noted earlier, the are usually an air shock with a ballast tank or a spring shock. The “T” frame attached to the seat will vary depending on the type of shock and how it attaches. Some people have replaced the air shock with the “Kong dog chew toy”.

Basic list of components:
Plastic tray that covers the frame and battery area
Shock of some type
Seat with “T” mounting bracket
Mount for front of the seat to the frame

I love a challenge. I may try and fabricate something. That way I can place it exactly where I want. If I do so I will post pics.

In the meantime I will look at the resources you guys pointed out - thank you.
