08 Broken In
I hit 500 miles on my 08 FLHT yesterday and is officially broken in. For a stock bike, it runs and rides GREAT. It even sounds decent with stock pipes. I'll probably do the SERT, AC, slip ons when I bring it in for my 1000 mi service. That is, if I found the right sounding slip on by then. Still looking for rumble but not to loud, like VH Ovals, but haven't heard them in person yet.
It has enough miles now to use the throttle but not broken in yet. I got more power at 5,000 miles and then at 9,500 it really came to life; better mpg and performance.
I am using v&h basic slip on's, similar to the ovals, and they are cool. With the true duals they are a little to lound for me but thats me.

So what's the breakin procedure...I thought it's just "keep it under 3500 rpms for first 50 miles?

I agree with dirtdobber, officially it'sbroken in but she's still new an tight.
