no I don't have a surge problem. Have an 06 EGC
How mechanically inclined are you and what tools do you have?
First I would check for any trouble codes.
If any that would point you to the problem circuit.
Then further diagnosis of that circuit to fix it.
All the electronics require good connections.
Next clean and tighten both battery cables at both ends and check starter mounting bolts for tightness
Then a fuel pump pressure check. A bad hose or pump or pressure regulator can cause that.
Next would be the injectors.
Plugs and wires would most likely cause a miss and rough running.
Now is the bike stock or have you added stuff?
If you added pciii etc, disconnect and see if problem goes away.
If you don't have the tools or ability it's time for a trip to a reputable independent or dealer.
Bike is bone stock and it seems that air temp. affects how it run also. sometimes it runs so good you wonder if its your imagination. I dont want.to change pipes or air cleaner .I have already checked for intake leaks.
I have been trying to get a fixfor a decel surge at about 1500 - 1800 rpm while downshifting and deceleration. Apparently it's fairly common on the 07's in particular I'm told it's the point the injections system switches from open to closed loop or the other way around.
I have complained about it but no fix as yet. My Ultra is also stock. It's very annoying and at times not safe.
