Had an IDS installed last week by dealer. Came to $363 installed. With the IDS and stage 1 finally done, this bike is nearly perfect. What a joy to ride.

Installed Hogtunes speakers, oil temp guage, tune trapper antenna, and chrome windshield trim today.

Steve... you be stylin!! You da man!!
Thanks! Got my WG bars today. Really be stylin when they are installed. May get the itch and do it tomorrow.

I have a question though. I don't have new grips yet so I need to know if there is any way to get the stock grip off the left side without cutting it. I thought I'd try my heat gun and then try twisting it to break the glue loose. Anyone help me????
Thanks,
Steve

Steve, on the grips.. why would you want to save those fugly black stockers? I took mine off with my Leatherman's knife and some heat from a hair dryer. They are worth all of 99 cents.. so..

Man, I'm trying to draw a line on my spending . . .
Anyway, looks like I'm going to end up with Kury iso grips. Decided I couldn't live with the stock rubbers. How did you know??

What do you use?

Mine is due here today according to the tracking from Zanottis. Guess Ill go get a 36mm socket and get wrenchin so I can test it out before it gets colder than a witches tit here. Sure hope I get the same satisfaction you others have got from it cause Ive got a noisemaker and a half that if somebody stole you would'nt hear me cryin.

I bought a set of the HD grips, on an impulse buy while picking up some other stuff at the dealer one day. They look okay, but they aren't soft rubber, or smooth, so I have to wear at least thin gloves with them.

If I had to do it again I would buy the Kurys. Go with they Kurys.

I installed the IDS over last weekend. Last night I installed the SE air cleaner and SERT with #78 map. I just rode it in to work this morning and I have to say. The IDS is worth the cost,it will makea big difference in low speedmaneuvers, I can see not having to hold the rpm's up as high and slipping the clutch as much. It will also allow lower rpm running in 6th gear.
It wil be nice to get some more miles on it, but so far it's clearly money well spent.

Installing the IDS doesn't mean who can start lugging the engine. I also have the IDS in my 07 Ultra. It smooths out the power pulses but you have to maintain the rev's.
