Bagger Cams
I know the issue has been addressed before in general relative to cams. However, here I am anyway lol. Working on a new build setup and want to choose a cam that will work well with a 10:1 compression or perhaps a tad lower. I am looking at the HQ 34G - The Woods TW 6G which from what I understand produce similar power results. Would like lift to be at .510 or less. I never red line my engine and pretty much want power gain from say 2000 RPM to around 4000.
Any thoughts ?

Why don't you just go with a completeHQ build so all the parts and pieceswork together. You can order ontheir newwebsite at:www.head-quarters-usa.com Check it out!
I agree spending my $$$ therebut if you dont wan't to go all out yet the 37G is a good cam imo.

Thanks Old. I have priced out the HQ build and also considering another route with my stock parts and using Big Boyz. Funds are definately an issue lol. On the flip side, I want to do it once and do it right. I've been back and forth a bit with PhilM by email and also Steve Maineultraclassic and they've been a great help.
Yes Cabo...doing the heads and boring the cylinders if I go with my stock parts. Otherwise it'll be a complete build ready to go from HQ.

Dawg.. did you dyno it or use a fuel management device ? Tmax.. DTT ? I have read where those cams can be pingy to an extent but it could be fuel or tune related I'd imagine.
Boogeyman: Call Bean and ask him for his recommendation based on the head work, boring, piston choice, etc.that would come from that build.
As for the HQ build, they will use your stock heads and cylinders.

Had Bean port my heads to 9.5:1 (would not recommend anything higher than that - will likely have starter issues unless getting compression releases), 95" with Harley flat top pistons, and the Andrews 26G cams. I also ended up putting in a Feuling Oil Pump and new lifters. Very good combination.
