Default hardwire connection for open headlight power source

Hey everyone. Just purchased a hardwire kit for Garmin 755t. Want to use spare connections at headlight on 09 flhx. What am I gonna need? Connectors? Have yet to take off outer fairing and haven't even seen connection area. Yes asking before I even know what's there! This site f'ing rocks!!!!

It's a standard 1/4" spade connector. Should be capped off with a red rubber cap.

I am looking at a hardwire kit for my Nextar on Ebay...not trying to hijack ur thread Kinger......is this the best possible way to do this to keep from using your lighter plug? and do you wire it up directly to your battery as it seems to have quite along cord. Please look at the ebay link and tell me, thanks.

That will work fine. But I caution hooking directly to battery as it will always be on and drain , plus you would have to run an inline fuse as well to be safe.

I went off an Ignition switch Aux hook up I have on my bike but even piggy backing off the fuse box try to use something that's fused and switches with ignition.
