THEY ARE ORDERED (PICKED UP THE BIKE)
My wifewas so happy with the outcome of her bike that she orderd these today for my birthday. It won't be up there with all you big bore dogs, but it should be quite nice for no head work. I can hardly wait. Life is good.......[sm=happybounce.gif]
HQ-TC-500-HC “Hurricane” uses stock hydraulic chain tensioner system. This asymmetrical double patterned cam is an absolute winner as a bolt-in cam. It will increase power across the whole range and is compression friendly too. Designed as a bolt in replacement, it broadly enhances the power curve. If used in a 103 or larger motor (keeping compression at or below 10.5:1, this cam will still be compatible)
Intake 20/36 236 .500” lift
Exhaust 51/19 250 .500” lift

Your bike looks kickass! Can you tell me all about your paint? What is it called and who makes it?
Thanks.

Monkish: Your wife has excellent judgment in camshafts; I have the HQ-0034 cams (same specs but for '06 and earlier TC) and it will definitely feel like a new bike.

Any projections on the numbers and the power curve with these cams?

RE: THEY ARE ORDERED
Monkish: I would guestimate87-90 hp and 95-98 torque with your 96" motor and a quality SERT tune.
With the cam swap, I gained 10 hp and 12 torque over the 74/78 hp/tq I had before the cam swap on my 88" with Rinehart TD's and SE a/c with a mild SERT tune; mild in the sense that I know there are some other things to change in the ECM a/f and timingthat would yield 3-5 more hp/torque without pinging or decel popping. With your 96" and 2-into-1 exhaust, I would think you would do better than mine, especially on torque.
