Default Clearview screens

Okay I am sure this subject has been banted around a bit. Do the Clearview screens with the recurve top actually work to get rid of the buffeting I am experiencing on the top of my helmet on my 08 Ultra? I tried a 14" screen from http://www.customflhtwindshields.net...indshields.htmit helped up to 60mph. Once I hit 65+ I get the buffeting on the top of my helmet. It is better than the stock by a long shot but I would like to get rid of all buffeting at least up to 70mph. Anyhow I am going to try the Clearview 14" with the recurve any experiences out there let me know. Thanks

I bought a short recurve, and couldnt tell any difference over the regular short one, if you want to get rid of turbulance you have to go bigger. Might try 2inchs over stock w/recurve.

Might consider the Tulsa also - http://tulsaenterprises.com/windshields.html#hdsport

Ah've known the owner fer a number of years, an' have one of his extra-tall vented shields on mah UC. Ah've been known ta run down the road at speeds in the triple digits.....

Got the 9.5 inch recurve and it works as good if not better than the 12 in stock.

What gunrunner said...I like the look of the recurve but find the 9.5"with recurve to be not as affective as the standard 10" above 65mph.

You might want to add the fork air baffle. That may be adding to your buffetting problem.

I did add the fork baffle and it seems to help a little. I can tell it is coming off the windscreen. I am going to 2" higher with the recurve.

I've had the fork baffle on my last 2 Ultra's. Great $20+ investment. I expected the 9.5" recurve to out perform the standard 10". Works great but not as good as 10" standard over 65mph.

I have a 6.5" with a recurve (2.5" over stock FLHX) and it works great. MUCH calmer and still can see over , doesn't spoil the look
