I have to agree with you guys, it's interesting, it's educational, it's fun and it's turned out to be dang expensive. I thought when I bought my bike I was done except for some new riding gear. Little did I know that I was just a down payment. I'm fixing to add a chrome handlebar kit, 2 into 1 pipes, Ultra tour pack and lowers to my Ultra RG ... AND it's all your fault! All that said I wouldn't change a thing, thanks for educating me. I do wish I werre more mechanical, that would save me some dough.

I have a buddy that has all his parts sent to my house... his wife isn't real understanding... my wife just laughs about it, she figures motorcycles is cheaper than me being in the barroom all night long... or chasin' her tail all around the house. ...well, I kinda do that anyway.. but maybe not so often if I'm out riding.

...just sayin.. LOL!

 

I don't post much, but read alot of mod threads. This place is a great source of information. I have
found that it keeps my stealer honest.

 

Ahmen to that! I've been bike shopping since September &found more answers to my questions here than the young salesman at my local dealership could answer.

Owning a Harley really is not that expensive. When I compare it to the $$$ that my buddies drop on boat maintenance, annual hunting ranch dues, a new bass boat, or a golf country club membership, the cost of bike ownership pales in comparison.

 

The accessories price is more than double in Spain.
All my dreams come across "the pond" by plane.

Yep, informative, sometimes entertaining, and expensive. And for you newbies, just wait! As winter drags on, cabin fever sets in and people start to lose it, its like the insane asylum set all the loonies free on this board

 

If I don't spend big $$$ on Harley....the wife and daughter will spend it all on shoes, purses, lotion, etc....
