Default Loose adjustable rider backrest pad

I have the Adjustable Rider Backrest PN # 52622-03a with the comfort stitch style backrest pad. It seemed to fit fine in the lower position with the stock HD '08 Ultra Classic Seat. Ijust installed an '08 Street Glide seat which sits lower. The backrest now pad flops around back and forth and side to side even in the lowest position. The comfort stitch style pad is obviously designed to work with the higher stock Ultra Classic seat. Is the backrest pad post that comes with PN #51632-06a Street Glide Styleshorter so that it fits closer to the seat or does it flop around also. If the backrest pad posts are the same length is there a fix to eliminate the loose backrest pad post?

Default RE: Loose adjustable rider backrest pad

I searched this forum and found another thread on this subject. https://www.hdforums.com/m_811115/tm.htmIt appears that the backrest pad cannot gocloser to the seat on the Street Glide and Road Glide Seats. I guess I can live wit that but I would like to find a way to keep the backrst pad from flopping around. Is anyone else having this problem and any solutions? What about the non adjustable rider back rest kits? Do they flop around like the adjustable one does?

Yep, washers worked for me.
Didn't get it all, but most of it.
