Clearview is worth the wait and I have ordered three different ones (1 for my 89 and 2 for my 06) and none of them took as long to deliver as the website said. When I ordered the first one it said 8 weeks and I got it in two or three.

I also look thru the shield. Michelle complains that she is receiving the brunt of the wind from over the top as well as from the sides. So, I was considering the big one that is 4 inches wider, and I forget how much taller.
I guess my concern is when it rains. Of course Harley says not to put anything like Rain-X on the shield. But I don't believe Clearview has that problem.
What are your thoughts on this, please?

You can use the original rain-x on a clearview. I normally just use pledge or harley gloss. I personally hate looking through a windshield and always go for a slightly shorter one and with the recurve it cuts down on the helmetbuffeting. Another plus I found with the clearviews is that you do not get the distortion at the edge of the shield like you do on a stock one.

So you think that the 19.5 or maybe 22 would solve her buffeting problems?

The 19.5 is the stock height so if you have one with a recurve it will work like it is a 20.5-21.5, so I quess it all depends on how much she is getting and were it is coming from. She will get more air on a RK than she would on an EG.

Wait for the Clearview it's worth it. You're traped in the south for a few months just use your stock one till it gets there.

I called John at 800.798.6089 and he said no one should have refused your order. I'm ordering a blem for my RG that works for me and he could have shipped ityesterday. They are only moving the office closer to where they mfg the shields and should only be closed for a day or 2 next week. Give him a call.

Sounds weird that they wouldn't take your order. I would try again. They are worth the wait. It is the best I have had including the more expensive Harley shields. About a month or so ago they told me 2-3 weeks and it was here in about a week. BTW I have the 8" smoked with recurve on my SG and it is perfect for me.

I did have to wait for 8 weeks for my tall tinted Clearview, But!! well worth the wait. I took my bike in for some work at Columbia Harley in Vancouver Wa. Before I knew it, they had Clearview's websight up and were very impressed!! Of course, didn't hurt that the service manager is a RoadGlide guy and was so interested, he ordered his while I was standing there. Great Shield, worth the wait.
