Rain Gear??? Which one?
I bought the Cyclone Rain Jacket and love it. It seals up nicely. I wear a full face helmet with it when it is raining hard and you stay nice and dry.

Whatever you decide to buy stay away from Tourmaster.
I spent $100 on their two piece rain suit. I used it 3 or 4 times on my ride to and from Sturgis and I ended up with a small hole in the pants.
Tourmaster does not have a phone number but they do have an email address. I attempted to contact them 3 or 4 times and they never responded.

Bought these rain pants. They have the heat shield. More for riding in the rain when it is cold.

I've got two sets of rain gear from when I had two bikes. The H-D set cost about $160 when I got it ten years ago, and it has held up great. The most important points to consider are:
Collar- will it cinch up tight so as to not allow rain to run down your neck? You will get some wetness, but the collar should stand up and have enough velcro to get a tight fit.
Pockets- does it have enough for your gear? Once you get the rain gear on over your jacket it's a pain to search around.
Cuffs- do the cuffs cinch up tight and are they thin enough to put your rain gloves (most come with large "gauntlets") over (or under as some people like) them?
Pants- do they have heat shields? My buddy bought a real cheap rain suit and then ruined a new pair of jeans when the pants melted onto them. Not to mention the pain getting the melted fabric off the pipes.
Reflective Material- H-D raingear has some great reflective material that really shows up when hit by a car's headlights.
My second set it a "First Gear", and I like it very much. the pants and jacket have self-contained storage pouches. I wore them last summer on a run between Chicago and Buffalo, NY in the worst rainstorm I've ever ridden. Not a drop soaked through. They cost about $120

Me and everyone I ride with wear Frogg Toggs, I think they are great because they keep you dry and at the same time they breath well and have good ventalation so you don't feel smothered. The above statement is true about them melting against the pipes, you just have to make sure you don't get them on the pipes. just my 2 cents
I wear Easyrider's two piece rainwear. They are inexpensive and you can roll them up in your saddle bag no problem. I have only worn them in one rain shower and they kept me dry as a bone. They sinch up at the collar, wrists, and ankles to prevent the rain from infiltrating in those spots. The waist of both the pants and the jacket have elastic pull cords as well. There is no heat shields tho, so watch out for the pipes. Only beef I have with them is that they get hot fast if the sun pops out. my .02

I bought my rain suit last summer and absolutely love it. I cost me about $300 mind you but I was on a trip and my old one was toast. Zipper broke on the jacket and one leg melted on my exaust pipe. The only downfall is that it doesn't fold up as small as my old cheepie one. I have to carry it in a bag of it's own. The best investment though!
I can even wear the jacket for just a regular light jacket (like a windbreaker). It handled some of the worse rain I have ever experienced. Velcro reinforcement on all zippers to prevent leaking. It also has reflective piping and Harley Davidson logo which I like especially for bad weather (it's good to be seen!) I often wear it over my leathers (even if it's not raining) as a windbreaker on cooler days. It has zipper vents so it can "breathe". It also has heat resistent padding on the leg on my exaust side so no more melting on the pipes.
DanTMan had some great pointers on choosing one. One thing I would like to add is, finding one with a pocket on the thigh (just above the knee). My suit has one on my left leg (clutch side) so I can hold my front brake on, when I have to go through toll gate or need to access money/small change etc. easily with my free hand. It is so handy.
