My dealer is in Galesburg, Illinois. They treat melike family and seem to really want my business.

Funny, I just got the samesurvey from the MOCO. I told them that I'll use the dealer for warranty but not other repairs. That's why I bought the Fix my HOG DVD's

 

What's a "Motohoes Girls" ? Oh, I think I know!! Local dealer service guy told me there was only one chain and cam tensioner. Had him show me the pic in the book. pointed out one tensioner and the plastic guide. I showed him the other chain and set up. He says...Oh! Evertime a dealer has touched my bike, stripped scre, scratched saddle bags, etc.etc.

have about 5 to choose from. techs might be good but service managers are not so good. to many times you hear "thats normal"
have a service manual and a parts book, other then warranty or recalls, I;m my own wrench
" know thy bike"

 

I have not had any problems other than the bike not being cleaned up when I pick it up. It seems with every dealership in the area someone has a horror story.

 

My local dealer, Kutter HD, is pretty good. I went there today to the parts dept to get the electrical plugs that go on the back of the oil pressure gauge and air temp gauge and they had everything I needed except for 2 of the 2 way connectors which they ordered for me. I'm sure its a pain to order 2 10 cent pieces but they did it just the same. The service department can get busy but during the times of the year when you would expect. I've never had a problem there and they do good work (I know one of their mechanics and ask that he does the work on my bike when I have to bring it there) plus they wash the s&#t out of your bike. They even get some of the bluing off the pipes where the slip ons connect.

 

Haven't experienced any problems so far, in fact they got my bike in and out within a couple of hours a month ago when on a whim I went to inquire about the IDS install.

 

My dealer doesn't even completely suck.
It only kinda sucks....
So I can't evencompletely hate them.

 

My salesman is also the head of the local hog chapter that I will be getting a free membership to thru the dealership, so I plan on making a lot of runs with them so if I have any problems with the bike he sold me he will be there to witness them hopefuly!
