Default which muffler flows better

I have a 2007 ultra classic, I like the sound of the stock mufflers but I want to go to true duals to take some heat off my wife's right foot. The left and right mufflers are different. Does any one know which side is the better flowing? I will get 2 of that side.

???????????? Any pair of mufflers are the same.. IE: you can use one or the other on any side..

(Unless it's 2 into 1)

The only way to rid yourself of the heat problem is to buy a set of True Duals.. (also get more air and there is a sert tune that cools the bike down some..) EX: before. hot to the touch air cleaner.. After sert tune, You can put your hand on it anytime..

Try some saddle shields (Kuryakyn, RJ Originals, HD, etc.) that block the heat under the seat. That might not do the job to your wife's satisfaction, but it wouldn't hurt to install them before spending a bundle on a new exhaust system. Remember than true-duals will decresae low-end torque, so there's a trade-off. The only way you could have mufflers with different flow characteristics is if you have a crossover of some kind. With true-duals this would never work.

Newer Harleys that have the stock headers and pipes and have the crossover.. Most of the exhaust goes out the right side...

Actually, earlehd is right. The left and right mufflers on an '07 ARE different internally. I've had mine off my '07 RK to drill out the baffle plates. Most of the exhaust does go out the right side as it has a long tube in it and the left side has a blockout baffle plate. I knocked out the baffle plate on the left muffler, and while it wasn't that much louder, I did notice that there was less heat on the right side. Maybe I evened out the exhaust flow somewhat?

If you are lookin to cool yer bike off some, Start with a Thundermax with Auto Tune.
I like the Supertrapp pipe myself.
