Default Inner Fairing Cleaner?

Hey EG andRG owners!

What do you guys use on your inner fairings when detailing? I have tried F21 from Turtle Wax. It cleans good, but it does not leave it shiny when it dries. It also leaves streaks. I have also tried Pledge, which works good on the tins, but also leaves bad streaks on the plastic.

Any suggestions? Looking for clean, shiny, and streak free.

Thanks!

I gave up. Mines at the paint shop right now. Harley Gloss seemed to work as good as anything for me though.

Pig Spit on a lint-free cloth or Honda Polish on same aforementioned cloth. Works like a charm.

believe it or not, i use armor all cleaning wipes and then follow up with the regular armor all wipes. it leaves the inner fairing nice and shiny and i figure in the hot florida sun, the added protection is needed. it looks as good as anything i've seen short of painting it. the nice thing is they have travel packs you can throw on the bike and touch up as you need it.

F21 isn't supposed to leave it shiny - but it WILL leave it clean. Armorall will leave it shiny - and slick. Personally, I prefer the F21 - even use it on the tires.

Thanks Guys. I've also tried Pig Spit. It's a good product that I like, but on the plastic, it's still not the shine I'd like to see.

With the Armor All, wondering about streaks? Not a big deal. I'll give it a try anyway.

What about any of the tire shine products, like Eagle One or whatever?

Or has anyone tried a liquid wax or polish? I don't know how that would work on a matt plastic finish.

This is true about leaving it clean. It's an excellent cleaner for plastic and vinyl. I did not know it was not supposed to leave it shiny.

No way! I can't have a non-shiny part on my harley! [:@]

Ultimatly, I want to get it color match painted Deep Cobalt at a local painter, but currently can't afford it yet.

Use Griot's Vinyl & rubber dressing, it contains no silicones, oils, petroleum, waxes or other dangerous solvents that can harm. Non greasy satinfinish, trust me you will love the look.
