I'm looking to ride Route 66 this summer. Anyone have any recommandations on which book to buy on Route 66?

My wife and Irode the Mother Roadin 2006 on our EG Classic with a group called the Mother Road Rally. We did the whole trip and had a blast. We're hoping to do it again in 2009. A couple of books I liked (and kept) are as follows: HOGs on 66, by Mike Wallis & Marian Clark; Road Trip USA by Jamie Jensen, and Motorcycle Guide to Historic Route 66 by HHJM, Inc. HHJM is the sponsoring organization for the Mother Road Rally. Road Trip is not "motorcycle specific" but has great info on things to see and do on the Road, as well as other great two-lane trips. The other two are great reading for someone planning to ride the Road. HHJM has a website (www.hhjm.com/rally/products.htm) and the other two should be available in bookstores or Amazon (where I got mine). I hope this info helps.
