Looking for a shop which can sew patches to my jacket and also do other light leather sewing and repair. Prefer the Houston,TX area, but if anybody knows a good shop that does work and ships UPS, please let me know who it is. Thanks!

 

Any good shoe repair shop can do it for you...ask that they unsticth the liner and not sew any poskets closed!

Local shoe shop here does them that way for about four bucks a patch.

 

I was going to suggest the same thing at the Shoe Hospital. There is a big one at Gessner and Westhimer not sure where any more are.

 

putting a patch on is easy.

1. Spray can of Duro spray adhesive to coat the back of the patch.
2. position the patch in place and press.
3. use the OL's sewing machine to stitch around the edges.

 

Go to Mancuso's on 290 on a weekend. Usually in the back room near the bathrooms a gal named Sunshine sets up a sewing machine. She does great work cheap. If she's not there, she posts a calendar on their bulletin board of where she'll be.

 

Last two times I have been to Drifters there has been a Lady there with her setup.
