Installing Factory Security System 2012 Ultra
Hello and many thanks to the posts regarding installing a factory security sytem and adding the siren kit. I would just like to add my experience. I was a little nervous because my bike was brand new 2012 and was unsure if everything is the same. Went by all the post and everything went great. I would mention a couple things. Wait until the dealer programs the FOB's and yes, you can do everything yourself EXCEPT the dealer has to program the FOB's, my kit came with two FOB's. Once the dealer has programed the FOB's then enter your PIN. My pin entered but I had to re-enter it after programming of the FOB's. I got the Factory Security System online for $263 and the Siren for $46. My dealer charged $20, And yes call around because one dealer quoted me $80 and its rediculous because it only took them 10 minutes. Be sure to check for fitment because there are many numbers out there. I used the 68200-07A security system and the siren kit 68328-02. The HD manual procedure to use the pin did not work out, the video on youtube with a Indiana dealership that has a black guy do the procedure was right on the money, you just turn on the ignition and quick touch the turn signals not hold them down like the manual says. Lately make sure to keep your old TSSM module in case you want to revert back to no security system. I love the system, works great. Oh, the one thing that was unclear was how to remove the module. Remove seat, remove both side covers, plug in siren by fuse panel, remove TSSM module and plug in new HSSM. You just have to unplug the 2 connectors on the front of the module (one is black, the other is gray) then pull straight out, then unplug the big connector easily when you have it out in your hand. Pull out on the button of the module because there is a clip holding down on the botton of the module. Good luck and I hope this helps you like the other post helped me. Thanks to all

For what it's worth, the dealer where I bought my 2012 didn't activate the alarm system, even though it came with the cruise control option. He says it's just an ignition deacivation and people don't steal bikes by riding them away. 4 guys pick it up and put it in a van and are gone in 15 seconds. As far as the siren, whenever I hear an alarm all I think is some idiot set off his alarm, not some poor guy's car/bike is being stolen, don't you? Spend your money on a big chain or cable lock if you are worried. Joe

It only comes with the ABS option if installed from the factory.
The reason the dealer didn't activate your alarm is most likely do to the fact that you don't have a factory alarm on your bike.

Very happy with my factory alarm. On bike since new, arms itself when I walk away, dis-arms when I approach the bike.
I've got insurance to boot................
Anything can be stolen if the thief wants it bad enough
