Default Smart alarm Question

Im looking for some info on a HD smart alarm. My dad has a 03 road king and he had a alarm but i think he just got the speaker part for it. He wants to make it chirp when he arms it. He says there is a way to charge it back and forth. as in chirp, not chrip. So how would we go about doing this?

Thanks,
Josh

I am not sure about the Smart Alarm, but having the security system is just the start. You need to install the siren to get the chirp. I thought the older Smart alarms you had to but the siren and the pager transmitter seperate.
The Smart Alarm IIhas thesiren and transmitter are combined.

Skip the HD Siren and buy a $5 radio shack siren! Easy install and much louder than the HD siren. Plug and Play.

If you want the pager, I think you gotta go with the smart siren.

ok....He HAD the alarm already. He wanted it to chrip so he bought the smart siren for it. He put it on and it still doesnt chirp. He thinks there is just a setting you have to change to make it chirp.

The siren may not function properly when first installed. NiMH recharageble batteries discharge rapidly when stored. To charge the battery in the siren opperate your bike for a minimum of 4 hours.

As for your orginal question about rturning the chirp on and off.

Cycling quickly through two armings and disarmings will switch the system from either chripless mode of the chirp mode.

1. With the fob present, the ignition switch to IGNITION and the system disarmed, turn the ignition switch to OFF.

2. When the system arms (2 flashes of the turn signals), Immediately turn the ignition switch to IGNITION.

3. Wait until the security lamp goes out, then immediatley turn the ignition swith OFF.

4. When the system arms (2 flashes of the turn signals), immediately turn the ignition switch to IGNITION and wait for the system to disarm.
