Default Biketronics/radio selection

Hello All,
I just ordered my Hogtune speakers, (thanks Pez), and plan on using the Biketronics Retro Radio kit. What is the best choice of Sony radio/cd players with this set up ? Which one's to avoid ?
Thanks,
capt42a

I don't think there is a bad choice if you get it from the Biketronics site, they all have different functions. You just need to decide which functions YOU need.

Let me know how you make out and if your happy with choice, wife wants a radio [I don't] and I suppose I will be getting one too. I was looking at the Sony Marine radio.

I went with the RetroRadio kit, Sony 5710, XM Satalite radio adaptor, and HogTunes. The Sony 5710 is a good unit, has all the usual stuff, and is XM radio ready, The entire package went for:

RetroRadio kit $200
Sony 5710 $130 (my daughter works for Best Buy and got me a discount on the radio)
XM radio adaptor and tuner $30 after rebate
HogTunes $110 to my door

TOTAL $470.00 and I pleased with the entire package!!!!!!!

Most people speak quite highly of the Sony decks for bike applications. I just had a Sony M8815x installed in my Police bike, with Hogtunes. I don't have the bike back home yet, but want to post pic's when I can.

The 8815 is a sweet "black face" deck, which is all screen and no buttons on the face...all buttons are hidden behind the face place which has a motorized opening mechanism. When shut down is just all black. Nice clean look, but you want to use the handlebar controls because the deck buttons are hidden (i.e. out of reach). Quite a slick setup...

cheers
