Default Amber Passing Lights

I received amber passing lights from J&P Cycles for my 08 Road King. Has anyone installed these? Do I have to cut the existing wires & splice on a contact fitting? Or do I need to remove the plug & use this somehow? Any help would be appreciated.

Yes you probably received a PAR36 bulb and you would have to adapt it since your 08 uses H3/H4 style bulbs.&nbsp\\; That's why some go with the Cee Bailey armor shields instead.&nbsp\\; They offer yellow or amber.

I just put amber bulbs on my '08 RK. Yes you have to cut and splice, but it's no big deal. They are much nicer than the all plastic ones that came out.

I'm sure there's no chance I'll ever put the old ones back in!

I found amber bulbs online at http://www.eautoworks.com/product-Nokya-23068.htm&nbsp\\;they ship quickly and look great. I have noticed no difference in light output at night but during the day the passing lights seem brighter than the headlight.

I tried the shields and didnt like them. They would have been fine if you couldnt see the velcro holding them on.
