UHHHHHO 24t comp sprocket Now I have knock* Fixed*
Did the 24t sprocket and now I have a horrible knock?? What to check? Is it possible a lifter is pumped down? It is pretty late so I can't do much till tomorrow
You can expect more acceleration. you may have to flip the adjuster to take up the slack, and the engine will be a little harder for the starter to turn over as you are changing the ratio and giving the motor more mechanical advantage.
??????? No extra parts followed the manual I am kinda wondering if it is possible that I bent something when losening the comp nut or tightening it? Sure sounds like a lifter but it is very loud and was not there before i started.
Lifters tick,if it is more of a clack or knock,probably need another spacer to tighten up comp sprocket.Take it apart and see if you can spin the comp shell by hand.If yes, you need a shim.If your chain is loose you know what you need to do.Good Luck \\;

would you mind explaing this to me? \\; you're starting the engine in neutral so how is the different ratio gonna make it harder to start the engine?
Starter shaft to clutch basket turns the chain that turns the crank sprocket \\; Crank gear is smaller and will spin up a bit faster making more load on the starter
