Default rear jug

Does anybody know if the rear jug can be removed from an 04 Electra Glide engine while it is in the frame ? ? ? ?

Just barley! You may need to remove the front mount.

It looks close but !&nbsp\\; !&nbsp\\; !&nbsp\\; Harley hopefully had some foresight when they designed these.

yes it can and no there is not any extra room. The rocker covers are the hardest part.

Default RE: rear jug

I have a rap coming from the rear jug when hot and I have replaced all of the valve train and the noise is still there. I have read about piston slap or maybe a loose wrist pin. Also I replaced the rear head which had a stuck valve and that did nothing. As I said the noise appears when engine is at full temp, if you shut it off and restart it in 5 minutes it is quiet till it comes back up to operating temp. If anybody has any ideas let me know. Also you can hear the rap at the rear cylinder base and in the rocker box which is probably transfering through the push rod tubes. So I need help for what to do next. This is an 04 Electra Glide with 10,000 miles.
