Default Wind Deflectors Hit Engine Guard

I&nbsp\\;put a set of the Kuryakyn chrome fork mounted wind deflectors on my 2007 Street Glide today. They fit perfectly despite the many comments I have had that they won't fit because the FLHX has the turn signals mounted on the forks. Just ondo the 2 #40 torx bolts on each fork&nbsp\\;and slip them on.
The problem is the engine guard on a stock FLHX. I had to remove it because the deflectors hit the guard and prevent turning the wheel from lock to lock. Now I need to find someone who has replaced the engine guard or altered it somehow so I have some peace of mind in the event the bike falls over or goes down at a slow speed.
I looked on the websites but noone gives the dimensions of their products so I can measure to see if I get clearance.
Anyone out there got a solution. Thanks in advance!

Then I would say that they don't fit perfectly after all.

Engine Guards did nothing on my RKC but the Engine Guard protects your LEGS in case it goes over and other hard parts.

The same thing happened with my hd ones and I switched sides. I bought them used and didn't have instructions so I figured I put them on backwords the first time. Anyway they work great when I switched them around.

Be thankful ya didn't have the HD instructions, as usual they made my install more confusing.&nbsp\\; Finally put 'em down, took a good look at the pieces and&nbsp\\;put them right on...what was I thinking...
