Wind Deflectors Hit Engine Guard

Wind Deflectors Hit Engine Guard
I \\;put a set of the Kuryakyn chrome fork mounted wind deflectors on my 2007 Street Glide today. They fit perfectly despite the many comments I have had that they won't fit because the FLHX has the turn signals mounted on the forks. Just ondo the 2 #40 torx bolts on each fork \\;and slip them on.
The problem is the engine guard on a stock FLHX. I had to remove it because the deflectors hit the guard and prevent turning the wheel from lock to lock. Now I need to find someone who has replaced the engine guard or altered it somehow so I have some peace of mind in the event the bike falls over or goes down at a slow speed.
I looked on the websites but noone gives the dimensions of their products so I can measure to see if I get clearance.
Anyone out there got a solution. Thanks in advance!
