Default jiffy stand ?

I need to find out if there is a problem with my jiffy stand, when I put it down the bike moves forward a bit, the stand does not lock in place when it is fully extended but seems to lock after the bikes rolls forward a bit. Kinda scary to me! is this normal on an elctraglide standard?&nbsp\\;

The notch that the jiffy stand locks into is forward of the rearmost position the stand can be moved to so it moving forward about an inch before locking is normal. Take a look at the underside of the jiffy stand and you'll see what's going on.

Yeah, it's unnerving for first time Harley riders. I leave mine in first gear when parking so it doesn't scare the *%#+!! out of me!

Was thinking about adding&nbsp\\;a center stand for hauling my bike in my pickup.
&nbsp\\;\\\\\\;
Will I be able to get the stand up if it is already tight in the wheel holder?

nothing wrong with it.&nbsp\\; if you pay attention to how it "works" (sit on the bike, looking down at it, lean the bike over onto the stand and pay attention to how it "locks") you will see how simple it is, makes me wonder why all manufacturers don't do something similiar, I've seen other (non-HD) bikes fall off their stands. Jiffy stand has play it in.&nbsp\\; my girlfriend freaks out when I get off the bike and walk away and she sees it roll forward an inch or so.&nbsp\\; I laugh.

The movement forward or backward to to accomidate parking on a hill.&nbsp\\; On my RKC I can glance down and see the part of the stand that fites into a key so I know the stand is in the safe locked position.
