corbin seats......
I am on my third HD since 96, Iam also 5'6" and I live about 1.5 hours from Corbin in CA - with that said - I am a big lover of the corbin.. MY current ride is a FLHTCI - I will say one thing about Corbin - I have heard horror stories about their mail order service (thing may have changed in the past year) If you are anywhere close to Corbin - Do a "Ride in appt" They will fit the seat to YOUR butt and you will ride out with a new seat that DAY... We got there at 0800 and left that afternoon... they talk to you and get a feel of what you want and looking for... they then buy you a full breakfast - by time you are done with that - its time to take a test ride on your seat... take more off here, add more there... this doesn't feel right and so on & on &on. For the test ride - they put a loose piece of leather over the foam and off you go for a ride in the area - as long or short as YOU feel... once all concerns are taken care of, then the seat is covered and Home you go...
The ride is "different" than any other seat out there... I will say that I can put in MANY more miles on the Corbin,,,, BUT, Corbin is not for everyone...
from what I have found since 96 - people either have a Love or Hate feeling ......
I will sell you my bike but the Corbin stays with me...
I have people often ask,,, can I sit and try the corbin... Ya, sure - just keep in mind - this seat was built to MY butt and not yours, so it may not feel right to you...

Sorry, I only have one, looking to get another. But since these backrests are removable, I am not really concerned too much about looks rather than functuality. I find the Dual Corbin Touring seat makes me sit back further. So I changed out the handle bars so they weren't so far away. Also it makes the seat height feel much higher, so I installed a Solow lowering kit. You may wish to consider these things and not just the appearence. I think Corbin makes a close reach version of the seat which makes you sit further forward and alleviate some of these issues. But, I know its a lot of money to spend only to find out your not happy. Good Luck
