Default Windshield Vibration

2008 Street Glide with 6" recurve windshield all of a sudden started vibrating when idling or lugging low RPM's. Anybody had this problem? Tightened windshield screws, but didn't seem to solve the problem. Thanks for any suggestions in advance.

Look for broken fairing brackets. Do it soon, or risk cracking your windshield. Don't ask me how I know. Pretty easy to do, three windshield screws, 4 inner fairing screws, and the outer fairing should lift right off, as long as they haven't changed anything since 03.

as long as you are checking fairing brackets check front lower motor mount for failure

Sounds like you have some broke fairing brackets. Check it soon or it will start to break other brackets. Had the same problem.

Ride safe.

I concur with checking the fairing brackets.....they are a well known weak point. How many miles you got on the SG so far?

Yea.....then I would just pop off the outer fairing and take a look. If you do a search here on the forum you will find pics posted of the failed bracket(s)

DKSS07, what's the fix? Is this a dealer only thing? I am afraid to look inside my fairing for fear I may see broken stuff!
