He loves to ride and had been on some pretty long rides out west and up north. He wanted to get together and ride this weekend but due to previous comittments I couldn't make it. Now it doesn't matter anyway. This sux. Keep your eyes open and expect the unexpected out there folks. Ride safe

From someone still recovering from an accident on 4/25, I feel his pain! Pleaes pass on my well-wishes and the following advice pertaining to the ribs:

Take things slowly and do not expect the ribs to heal fast! I have 4 broken ribs (in addition to losing my spleen) and they are only about 40% healed at this stage of the game. My DR says it will take probably 9 mos for them to fully heal.

Tell your friend that he must get back up on the horse or he will never be 'right' again.

Accidents like this tend to change your view on things...well, it did for me! (went down at 65mph, no helmet but full leathers).

Only he knows if it'll be right for him to get back on. Yes I'm pretty sure she stuck around, I haven't gotten to talk to him personally yet. Thanks for the well wishes I'll pass them on to him as soon as I can talk to him.

Sorry to hear about your friend, hope for a speedy recovery. Hope he doesn't let this keep him from getting back on a bike.

Best wishes for a speedy recovery and I'm glad that it wasn't worse!

Once the bruises and ego heal and he's feeling better the desire to get back on a ride will return!

Tell him we hope for a fast recovery, as I wrote earlier my wife went down less than two weeks ago, seperated shoulder, broken arm, but doing great and wants a bike of her own. If he loves to ride he will, if he doesnt then that is okay too, just hope he has no regrets
