We have an 06 Ultra while under warranty had an erratic starting problem which eventually ended up being a bad crimp in the ground cable but the dealer did replace the battery right at a year ago when they were stumped. Yesterday rode about 150 miles stopped and nothing but the starter clicking. Push started the bike and got home and the same condition. I believe it to be the battery and have checked all connections. Is there a better battery than the HD replacement, I am not sure what the warranty is on a HD battery yet but one year on the battery is not very dependable.

 

Hmmm. Might be the battery, but I'd hesitate on that due to it's only a year old.

Most here will tell you the HD branded battery is among the best. And it has the price to prove it.

 

I would do some checking before buying a new one.Check all the cables/grounds,etc-.
Charge the battery and test with a volt meter or take it back to the dealer and have them test it.
