Bertk, Great write up and pics of the install. The Krome Werks 300504 Tall wide sweeper bars for my 99 just came on Wed. Looking forward to getting them on over the winter. Wondering if you could please look up in your parts manual for your 08 the part number for the one piece clamp. Thanks much Bryan

Cruise control is on my wish list. I would be interested in seeing some pics of the cruise control wiring installed.

My 08 SG came with the one piece riser clamp. You may want to check and see if you already have one. This is the only PN 55918-08 I have.

My 99 has the 2 piece not good setup. I had a friend I work with go to Lanc HD and ask for the one piece clamps for him and I but they had no clue. I put that # in online at Chicago HD and that's what I needed. Thanks again Bud.

You're welcome Bub.

This green connector, couldn't you just splice the wires together and remove it altogether? I'm trying to understand why it's so special that you need to buy a whole another unit just to get away from the connector?

Anybody know?

I'm going to buy an 09 SG in March or April, and from sitting on them, those bars are the ones I need. Excellent post. I'll be looking for this one after I get my bike.

I suspect it's a liability issue. If something goes wrong with the FBW throttle and someone gets hurt...
