Default courtesy calls from dealer

I have had my SG for several months now and I have had two courtesy call from my dealer asking me about any issues that I have with the bike.

One call was from my salesman about a month ago and the other was from the service manager yesterday.

Is this routine from other dealers? It nice to get good customer service once in a while. It seems like you don't see it much anymore.

My dealer is Ozark Harley Davidson in Lebanon Mo. I thought I would give them a plug here.

I see the salesman at least once a month and he always asks how everything is. I usually get a follow up call from the service dept a couple of days after I have something done.

Mines been sitting at the dealer for almost 5 months, waiting for them to repair it after an accident. I haven't had 1 call from them and they don't like it when I call them.

DAMN 5 months!!!!! I had a little accident at the end of Sept. and I have been calling the service department every week for updates. They have called me a couple of times when they have received parts. Now I'm just waiting on a painted fender.

I got my 08 FLHT in July and pretty much the same. I got call from service manager, sales manager and owner. Sales rep however acts like he doesn't know me!

They're probably making courtesy calls in the hope of drumming up some business. Good luck.

I got a few follow up calls after the intital purchase of the bike (usual questions about satisfaction). My dealership also calls a few weeks after every service ticket (warranty or not) and asks if I'm happy with the work they had performed.

My dealer called about two months after I bought my bike as a courtesy. I hope they didn't notice the shock in my voice!!

I can't say that I have ever received a courtesy call after a shop visit.
