My dealer won't give me the paint code to the 07 Street Glide Deep Cobalt Blue. Does anyone have the code?I need to order a quart of it to paint the inner fairing.
Paint code and pn# are two different things. My suggestion to have it matched perfectly is to order the paint, clear coat and activator from HD. The PPG paint code would be 908850, however the pn# for the HD paint you need would be #98609BXT for the Deep Cobalt color coat and 98609EK for the clear coat and 99825-02 for the urethane activator. I am not at the shop and won't be until tomorrow so I cannot determine if the Deep Cobalt requires a base coat and a top coat. If it requires a top coat, I can post up the number tomorrow.
HD uses PPG paint OEM. I saved about $30 by buying from a PPG jobber instead of Harley on Fire Red Pearl. The match was perfect.
And the PPG jobber I use was able to get the correct mix information from PPG. It took a couple days but I got it. When I painted the the tour pak and lowers the color match was perfect! I went to the jobber after the parts guy gave me a blank look when I asked him for the paint color info.
Thanks for the help... Dawg, please let me know about the base coat and top coat.
What is PPG jobber? do you have a website?
These people supply paint to the auto body paint shops. The one I use only sells paint and supplies to auto body shops. Find a body shop in your area that uses or has access to PPG paints and then ask where they purchase it from.
