hey fellow bikers
anyone know where i can get a paint code for my bike?/is it part of the vin muber????does anywhere in the vin number tell ya what production number the bike is
If you are talking about a paint code to get matching paint that probably isn't going to happen. HD does not give out paint codes for matching purposes. Ifyou need to match your paint you either have to order the paint from HD or go to a paint dealer and have them scan the color you are trying to match.
I wanted to get paint to color match my helmet to my bike and HD would not give me a code, but they would sell me the paint at a highly inflated price. I got it scanned and it came out fine.
Just had a scratch fixed and the inner fairing painted on my 04 Roadglide. The paint was only offered in 04 and is a base coat/clear coat. I had to end up going with a house of color paint and they only sell it in quarts! pint of the silver base and pint of the blue candy, jeez! This repair/project got expensive quick.I didn't know it but the stripe on my glide is the actual base coat under the blue.
Tried to get thepaint code from HD and they protect it like it's some national secret!
I am going to switch to a "clean" front fender, but I need to match the peace officer special blue on my 2006 Ultra. I have been told that MOCO doesn't sell the POS blue. Any suggestions?
