I got the fever...BAD! I live near Seattle and snow is a rarity. But we just got hammered! The perfect storm hit and we've been living with compact snow & ice for three weeks! It's finally starting to warm up and now the roads look like dirt logging roads. Our a_ _ hole politicians don't believe in salting the roads or using snowplows with metal blades (honest to God...our plows have RUBBER blades). They don't want the salt to get into Puget Sound, even though it consists of salt water. And they don't want to hurt the road surface, hence the rubber plows. So they just dump ton after ton of sand & gravel on the roads and stir it up with the rubber plows. It's gonna be a looong time till our roads are safe to ride on!
