Least I can take the PC V off and move it to a different bike...pop off the O2 eliminators and plug em back in to the O2 sensors to get it back to stock.
With the TTS you can save off the stock tune and put it back on if you want, too. But I don't know why you'd want to do that anyway. I always hear the "I can take it off the bike before I take it in for work" spiel but have never heard of anyone actually doing it.
In terms of saving the money when getting a new bike and transferring the tuning device, I guess that's a valid point if you frequently trade rides. I plan on keeping mine 'til gasoline isn't available anymore. It's an '07 and doesn't have the too-large gas tank, the throttle-by-wire, nor the too-fat rear end or "fixed" vibration at idle; it's the last good year for a touring bike.
All that notwithstanding, the TTS is so much more capable than even the PC-V with all the bell and whistles enabled that the extra few bucks invested in the particular bike are way well worth it.
