Anybody using this helmet - Scorpion EXO-100 Matte Black

Looking to buy a DOT 1/2 and I like the flip down sun shield feature of the EXO-100...

Just wondering if it sits high or low on your head.....

 

That is what I normally wear. It is rather large though, but DOT approved. I have never used the drop down visor since I always wear sunglasses. I like that the ears are covered so it keeps the cold out. It is very comfortable.

It does have the mushroom look though.

Thought I wanted one until I tried it on. Did not need another mushroom helmet.

 

I have a matte black scorpion EXO 1000. I have only gotten to ride with it once since I sold my bike and waiting on the new one. It is very quiet, the drop down visor works great. It is lighter than the HJC cl15 I have. I bought mine on ebay for $100 less than the local dealer and it came really quick.

I have the EXO-100 in gloss black and like it for cold weather riding. I wear a 1/2 shell in warm weather. It is comfortable and keeps the rain out. Sizing is small. I have a medium HD 1/2 shell and a large EXO-100. While I know that of course a 3/4 will fit tighter than a 1/2, the large is snugger than the medium

 

i also use the EXO-100 for cold weather riding, or if i'm going on an extended trip as i LOVE the visor for rain..etc. To me it feels HUGE, as i'm used to normally wearing a "novelty", but i'm doing my best to get used to the DOT helmets.

 

Got one of those already in the non-DOT style....Great helmet, sits low, no weight but really no side protection.

I like the idea of the drop down visor but also don't need another mushroom helmet...
