there is a custom bike manufacture in Maine( not FBI but sorta like them) that uses a lot on there bikes. they sell the whole kit. I heard them they are not that loud. but then i liked them on my fatboy too.

Would the pipes do any damage to stretched bags?

Just got an 09 Road King Classic today. I want LOUD pipes but want to keep the duals in back. I had short shots on my Dyna and they were loud. Any kind of slip ons I can put on to get that kind of volume?

Well ksjayhawk, on my 08 Classic I've tried some hot rodded stock looking one from Ebay, a pair of Sampson Rolled Thunders, some V&H Clasics with the bullet tips (even with reduced baffle wrap) and now have the V&H Big Shots Long True Duals. Nothing seem to be quite loud enough for the wife but the neighbors already hate her anyway. So now I am considering the Big Radius but I really don't care for the style of the tips.
I had some Big Shots Staggereds on my Fatboy and they had the best sound but they do not make them for the tourings. What a shame or that is what I'd have.

They look nice and are fine on asphalt. Kids had them for 1 season.

If you will be on dirt/gravel, they will blow dirt all over your bike, your wife, anyone behind you. If you lead on a dirt/gravel road be ready to hear the complaints from the other riders behind in the group. Expect to be riding in the back of the pack in those conditions. I refused to ride anywhere near him.

Like I said, they look good if you stay on asphalt.

Thanks. How much low end torque will I lose if I just go with V&H Basic Slip Ons and leave the baffles out?
