Default H-D Heavy Breather- any cons at all?

Thinking about going with the H-D heavy breather A/C for my bike. Are there any cons about having this type of awkwardly-shaped breather on your bike considering the way that it sticks out the side of your bike? Will having it prohibit my right leg in anyway at all if I decide to put on say highway bars or forward controls down the road?

If you are worried about it sticking out too far, check out Harley's new open air cleaner straight off the CVO Road Glide. They just made it available for everyone. Don't have a part number, but it is on the accesories web site.

Part number is 29490-09. Comes in chrome or black. It's called the ventilator.

looks like an old sporty ham can. me personally, i prefer either the heavy breather or the round, open air style. (easy to say since i still have the football cover....)

Looks good, works fine, never been a problem filter wise or leg wise.

Can't say that it's really doing that much for the performance but it looks different so I like it.

The heavy breather is perhaps the best designed air cleaner on the market. I put them on both bikes.

It is the ONE A/C that absolutely no one has complained about sucking oil or breaking the backing plate....It really is the best.

My knee no longer bangs the A/C and they clear the crash bar just fine.....I have absolutely no complaints.

If I wanted to nit pic, I'd say the only draw back is after you wash it, you gotta let it dry before you can reuse it.....But that is the same for any K&N out there.
